So what is Steampunk? I'm sure there are different opinions on how to describe it. To me, it's a sub-genre of Science Fiction that, usually in a Victorian era setting, depicts a more advanced technology for the time utilizing materials and components from that time. Classic examples of this would be the works of Jules Verne or H.G. Wells. There have been stories and settings utilizing the Steampunk genre over time but it seems to have seen a big boom in recent years. Books, comics, movies and costumes are more prevalent than ever before, for better or worse. I like to focus on the better.
